I wasn’t going to do a Readathon in September. And yet here we are…
In this Readathon the adventure begins when you go down the rabbit hole and enter into Wonderland. Complete prompts by reading middle grade books to move to the next location on the map…
So… I have quite a few Middle Grade books through Netgalley and on my shelf in general I should get to soon… and the prompts are all nice and vague. I can do this. So I will… very low key.
- Down the Rabbit Hole: Read a book set in another world
So, I was going to use this book for the second prompt (because just look at it), and then realized I don’t really have any books set in another world. And I know I can double up… but I don’t want to.
2. Flower Garden: Read an aesthetically pleasing book
Luckily middle grade books are almost always gorgeous, so I have plenty of choice. Such as this beauty.
3. Eat me, Drink me: Make yourself a cozy reading snack
4. The White Rabbit’s House: Pick a book for a cozy night in
Nothing screams cozy to me like autumnal reads. This books is promising to be all kinds of spooky, but also has a good dose of humour. And it isn’t too long so I should be able to read this in a single night.
When it comes to the cozy snack… I have got a brand new cookbook coming in soon, so will probably pick something from that.
5. The Queen of Hearts’ Palace: Pick a book you think you’ll love
I have only heard great things about this book. It is on my ‘read in 2020’ list because it was one of the top 10 highest rated books on my TBR. The cover is gorgeous. It is steampunk. The plot sounds fascinating and heartbreaking. Yeah, I think I’ll LOVE this!
6. Cheshire Cat: Pick a strange and mysterious book
The blurb starts: Do naught wrong by the mulberry tree, or she’ll take your daughters … one, two, three.
I say that is definitely strange and mysterious. And I am fascinated!
7. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party: join the live costume party
This is the group book… which I might read. I don’t really want to start yet another series… but the audiobook for it is on Scribd, and I could use a few more audiobooks this month… so maybe.
Hoping you are well,
