Top Ten Tuesday – Books on my Fall TBR

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday… with this week books I’m avoiding reading and why… However, as you can see from the title, I decided to go for a different topic. The husband and I are currently on a little holiday, and because I was sitting outside reading in the sun I completely forgot to write this post. So here I am, changing the topic to something easy. As always, don’t forget to drop by at That Artsy Reader Girl, who does a wonderful job hosting this.

Actually, this topic turned out kinda difficult after all… mostly in limiting it to 10 books. Most of these are series I want to finish/continue.

I will be (re)reading the Thursday Next series (currently rereading the second in the series, Lost in a Good Book).

The Haunting of Hill House is a book I got from The Husband almost a year ago, after loving the series. I have been saving it for October, when I will also be reading Interview with the Vampire (another present from The Husband, this one from a few years ago. Sorry). And yet another present I got from him is the fourth Anno Dracula book, yet another book for October. I haven’t read the third one yet though, so I will be reading that one as well.

A series I have been meaning to continue for a way too long now (seeing as I gave the first book a 5* rating) is The Huntress series. I am also working my way through the Riyria Chronicles, currently in the middle of the second book.

I read Annihilation a while ago, but just want to reread it and finish up the trilogy.

Then there is my reading goal of rereading the Discworld series this year. I am failing badly so far, having only read 4 books of it. So I hope to make some more progress in that.

Which brings us to 2 of my most anticipated releases of the year: Grave Importance (coming out in two weeks) and The Zeppelin Deception. Both are concluding novels to series I enjoy a whole lot, so that is a bit sad.

So those are the books I really want to read this fall. Seeing as I am mainly trying to read (large) parts of series there are quite a few on the list. But maybe I will find time to pick up some other stuff as well, we shall see.

Hoping you are having a lovely day,

      1. Yeah the tv series is definitely a very loose adaptation! I read the book before I watched it and I think it probably would have been better to watch the series first 😅 It was definitely really thought provoking though. Like, once I finished reading it I could not stop thinking about it. Interested to see what you think 😀
