Top Ten Tuesday – Books that have been on my TBR the longest and I still haven’t read

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday… with this week cover redesigns I loved/hated. After a hard 2 second of thinking I couldn’t come up with anything so decided to go with something else. This month I am sitting my NEWTs, and one of the prompts is to ‘read a book that has been on your TBR for ages’. I don’t need this subject for my career, but it did make me look at my shelves. So here are 10 books that have been on my TBR the longest and I still haven’t read. For most I don’t know exactly when I got them (though I know at least one is from 2010, and there are quite a bunch form 2012 as well), but I do know it has been a while. As always, don’t forget to drop by at That Artsy Reader Girl, who does a wonderful job hosting this.

I hope to read these books fairly soon. The Night Circus will be picked up this weekend during the Magical All-Nighter. I also hope to read The Amber SpyglassArcanum Unbounded (already read most of the stories, but not all), Mr Penumbra’s 24-hour bookstore and Metro 2033 for my NEWTs. But that is the extremely ambitious plan. Interview with the Vampire will be read in October. The Discworld books will have to wait a while though, seeing as I am busy rereading the series in order of publication.

Hoping you are having a lovely day,

    1. I read the subtle knife last month. I’ve owned the trilogy for years, but am only getting to it now. I feel extra bad about not having read interview yet, seeing as it was a present from my husband (for our first dating anniversary)…

  1. I see your husband’s copy of Metro 2033 is now in your hands? 😀 I’ve only read The Night Circus and adored it. It’s a magical ride, with excellent imagination coming from the author. I am curious to find out if the author’s second novel coming out soon, after sooooo many years, will be as good. 😮

    1. Actually I gave him his copy, he took it back to SA with him. He adored it tho, so when I could get in an audible 2for1 deal I picked it up for myself as well… but never listened to it 🙈 I’ve only heard great things about the night circus, am planning to pick it up this weekend. The synopsis of her new book does sound good.
